What is innovation?
Innovation – ‘the successful commercialisation of new ideas’ – is vital if we are to see our economy grow stronger and witness the emergence of a new generation of businesses able to compete in the international marketplace.
The Essex Innovation Programmes, therefore, are working to create the best possible environment within Essex, Thurrock and Southend, that allows both new and existing businesses to exploit to the full potential of their new ideas and creativity.

The Essex Innovation Programmes include a fully funded range of specialist services that can enable you to fully exploit the potential of your business, help sustain your business in those often difficult initial stages, and leave it well placed for future growth.

How does it work?
The programmes are fully flexible to suit what you need. We have a range of specialist mentors who will work with you to develop your ideas.
Your mentor will recommend a plan of action for you to help you achieve what your goals.

You are an SME (An SME employs fewer than 250 persons and has an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43 million)
