The Essex Technology and Innovation Centre provides quality business accommodation and support for early stage innovative businesses. It is part of Essex County Council's portfolio of business incubation premises and has the aim of supporting and promoting entrepreneurship particularly in innovative, technology and knowledge based sectors.

The centre based in Ongar is a leading facility providing managed workspace and specialist support. Businesses are encouraged to "move on" at a stage that is appropriate to their development, but typically not later than their third year of occupancy.

Ongar is within easy reach of the M11, M25, Stansted, Bishop's Stortford, Epping, Brentwood, Harlow and Chelmsford, and the centre offers free on site parking.
