As you may know, the coalition government plans to replace the Regional Development Agencies with Local Enterprise Partnerships.
These will be business-led bodies that work to promote local economic growth. Chaired by a leading businessman and supported by local authorities and other public sector bodies, a Local Enterprise Partnership would decide economic priorities and respond to what matters most to the local economy - whether that is support for small businesses, the transport network, the availability of suitable land for development, or any other issue that matters to local business.
Government wants to receive Local Enterprise Partnership proposals by 6th September. More information can be found here.
The voice of business is critical to ensuring any Local Enterprise Partnership does the right things in the right way. This short survey is an opportunity to say what matters to your business and your local area, and to help shape a Local Enterprise Partnership proposal that meets the needs of the local economy.
We would be very grateful if you could complete the survey by Sunday 15th August and help build a strong proposal to government for a Local Enterprise Partnership in Essex.
